Photo Names: Canary Islands – La Palma stellar observatories – May 2014 (photo set)
Caption: I took this photo with th stellar observatories in La Palma during my first trip there, in 2014. In the images you can see the Gran Telescopio de Canarias – GTC (the silvery one, starting with the 4th photo). The diameter of the primary mirror is almost 11 metres, the cupola is 33 metres. The other telescope is the Mercator, near Isaac Newton Telescope (INT of the Isaac Newton Group of Telescopes).
